Sweetwater, Nov. 1 - A. H. DeBusk, 59, a resident of West Texas for more than 30 years, died at his home here today following an extended illness. He was the father of H. L. DeBusk, city attorney of Abilene.
Funeral services will be held at Palava in Fisher County at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, with the Rev. Ira L. Townsend, pastor of the First Christian Church here, officiating.
Mr. DeBusk had made his home in Fisher County from 1899 until a short time ago, when he moved to Sweetwater. Born in Tennessee, he came to Texas when he was two years old. He moved to Sweetwater in 1898, and to Fisher County a year later. He was a member of the Christian church and of the order of Knights Templar.
Besides his wife, 10 children, one sister and one brother survive. The children are H. L. DeBusk of Abilene; Weldon, Troy, Roy, Frank, J. C. and J. V. DeBusk, all of Sweetwater, R. L. DeBusk of Slaton, and Mrs. Eva Montgomery and Mrs. Pauline Mahoney of El Paso. The brother and sister are W. N. DeBusk of Greenville and Mrs. Annie Daniels of Sweetwater.
