Andrew D. Romegialli Sr.
Plainville- Andrew D. Romegialli Sr. 56, of 45 Rosemont Dr. passed away Sunday, February 10, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. He was the beloved husband of Karen (Furlong) Romegialli.
Born in Middletown on October 22, 1951 the son of the late Attilio and Elizabeth (Nellis) Romegialli.
He had worked for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in Middletown for 10 years before pursuing a long career in Labor relations. Andrew had worked for the International Assoc. of Machinist as a Labor Representative and Director of District 91. Then as a staff Representative for AFSCME Council 4 in New Britain.
Andy enjoyed coaching little league baseball, golfing, and being with his children and their many friends, who always kept him young.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his loving children, Jennifer Romegialli of Middletown, Andrew D. Romegialli Jr. and Michael P. Romegialli both of Plainville, two sisters, Diana Towers and her husband Raymond and Claudine Romegialli all of Middletown, two brothers-in-law and their wives, William and Catherine Furlong of Plainville and Patrick and Robin Furlong of Bristol, his mother-in-law Carmen Furlong of Plainville, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Philip Romegialli.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington to St. Matthew Church in Forestville at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Plainville. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 2969 Whitney Ave; Hamden, CT 06518 or the American Cancer Society, 538 Preston Ave. Meriden, CT 06450.
