David W. Cox, a resident of Klamath County for half a century, died Tuesday at St. Vincent Hospital, Portland. He was 78.
The body is to be brought here tomorrow and funeral arrangements will be announced by the Memorial chapel.
Cox was a native of Illinois. He and his two brothers, Henry and Charles, ranched and raised sheep in the Merrill area for many years, and he lived in Klamath Falls the last 20 years.
He was taken to the Portland hospital about two months ago.
Cox is survived by the two brothers, Charles Cox of Tulelake and Henry Cox of Merrill; and four daughters, Mrs. M.N. Cherry, Mrs. L.B. Harris, Mrs. P.E. Winkelman and Mrs. Velma Clark all of Klamath Falls; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
