Minneiska, Minn.--Jessie F. Schell, 91, died Friday, (May 18, 1984) at St. Anne Hospice, Winona, where she had been a resident for the past 11 months.
She was born on Oct. 7, 1982 to John and Pauline (Guidinger) Schell in Oakridge, rural Minneiska.
She was the oldest citizen of Oakridge, where every knew her as Aunt Jessie.
On July 1, 1931, she joined her brother Raymond's family following the death of his wife, Helen. She dedicated her life to the rearing of that family.
She attended District 23 School, Oakridge, and Saint Teresa Seminary, Winona.
She was a charter member of Saint Teresa Society, Rollingstone, and a member of Immaculate Conception Parish Ladies' Aid.
She is survived by one-sister, Esther Speltz, St. Anne's Hospice, Winona; nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11:30 a.m. Monday in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Oakridge, the Rev. Louis Cook officiating.
Burial will be in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery, Rollingstone.
Friends may call from 2-9 p.m. on Sunday and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Monday.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. on Sunday by the Saint Teresa Society and there will be a wake service at 8 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Robert and Steven Schell, James, John, and Joseph Rowekamp, and Mark Hillenbrand.
At the request of the deceased, the casket will be closed, and a memorial is being arranged.

Jessie never married. She took care of brother Ray's children after his wife Helen died. Aunt Jessie made the best homemade bread, rolls and coconut macaroons.
