George and Edna were married on 2 Oct 1924 in Auburn, King Co. WA in the Methodist Church in Auburn. Edna and George never had any children, sad to say I think Edna would have been a wonderful mother, she was a very sweet, loving person and I believe she had a love for children especially all of her nieces and nephews no matter how far a generation they were from her. Our family was very large at one time and she treated us all well, then of course there were her own family some of whom we met but not all of them. They use to have the family picnics at the farm, we would bring food and spend the whole day out there playing down by the apple orchards and in the the pasture with the cows...lol. We use to go clean out the old pioneer grave where George's grandparents were buried at. Thistles and all! And then George would have paint and paint brushes for all of us, that way he wouldn't have to do it but set everyone of his great nieces and nephews to do it for him. I laugh now but it wasn't funny back then to pull the thistles and to paint at 8 years old. It's called having a responsibility I guess or so maybe he thought. But I guess that was a good trade to be able to ride in the wagon that he had on the back of his John Deer tactor.
