Anna Gentry married first to William C. Watkins. They had one son:

Mrs. Anna Burnett died at her home near Lockwood on Friday, January 13, 1911 after a long period of illness.

The funeral services were at the Mt. Nebo Church led by Rev. L.H. Smith on Saturday at two-o'clock, the burial was at the Collins Cemetery near the church, in the presence of a throng of life long friends.

Mrs. Burnett was born at Charlotte, Tennessee, December 4, 1833. She was married to William Watkins in 1854. She was married to Wm. L. Burnett in 1864, and has resided in this vicinity since that time. During her long life Mrs. Burnett was known as a sincere and earnest Christian woman always a member of the church and a doer of Christian work.

Among those who mourn the loss of one they loved and venerated and who will cherish her memory during their lives are her sons Benjamin and Samuel Burnett residing here during their life time and also her son, Henry Watkins who came from Oklahoma to attend the funeral.
