William was the son of Andrew Decal (Dee) Johnson and Ethel (Copeland) Johnson.

William married Margaret Leota "Lee" Wilcher on December 25, 1947 in Reno, Washoe County, Nevada. They had four children.

William David "Dub" Johnson, 76, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2005, in Foster. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 16, at Owens Prairie, with the Rev. Gene Jorgenson officiating.

Arrangements were made under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home.

Born June 6, 1928, to Dee and Ethel (Copeland) Johnson, in Byars, he was an oil field worker, who enjoyed working and was very devoted to his family.

On December 24, 1946, he married Margaret Leota "Lee" Wilcher, in Reno, Nevada. She preceded him in death on April 4, 2005.

He was also preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Johnnie and Beverly Johnson of Foster, Bob and Nadine Johnson of Foster, and Jerry and Kizanna Johnson of Bray; a daughter and son-in-law, Terrie and Ron Phillips of Foster; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Nathan Phillips, Alex Johnson, Jacob Johnson, Jared Johnson, James Blankenship, Trent Armstrong, Erick Dennis and David Russell.
