David A. "Blackie" Masters, 83, of Perryville, died April 1, 1995 at his home in Perryville. He was born July 29, 1911 at Marble Hill, son of Manuel and Maggie Masters. He married Vivian Snodgrass August 29, 1953.
He retired from General Motors in St. Louis in 1971.
He had lived in Perryville since 1978, moving from St. Louis.
He was a veteran of WW II, serving in Gen. George Patton's command; and was a member of the American Legion of Perryville.
Survivors include His wife; two sons, David and Michael Masters; and two daughters, Linda Barylski and Sharon King all of St. Louis; a stepson, Donald Gene Fullerton of Ilinois; one brother, Eugene Masters of Marble Hill; two sisters, Eula Fahrenkrog and Pearl Harris of Marble Hill and eight grandchildren.
Three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Services were held Monday at Baker Funeral Home with burial in Baker Cemetery.
