MRS. SARAH THEIS TAKEN BY DEATH
Mrs. Sarah Margaret Theis, aged 87 years, widow of Jacob Theis, life long resident of Marietta and Washington County, died at the home of her nephew, Thomas H. Cisler, Cisler Place, on Saturday at 8:10 a.m., following an illness of one week with pneumonia.
Mrs. Theis was the daughter of the late Theobald and Caroline Gerber Schneider. She was born in Washington County on February 9, 1849. She was united in marriage with Jacob Theis in 1869, and he passed away 30 years ago. Surviving the deceased is a son, David Theis of 333 Matthew Street. There are four grandchildren, Mrs. Harold Oliver, Mrs. Floyd Fouss, Kenneth Theis and Ralph Theis; also one great-grandchild, Judith Lysle Theis. Mrs. Anna Baker is a sister, and there are a number of nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the home of David Theis, 333 Matthew Street. Interment will be in Oak Grove.
