Edgar A. Whitaker, 63, of Blanchester died today at Clinton Memorial Hospital. Mr. Whitaker was born on March 23, 1919 in Madeira, the son of Paul and Mildred (Books) Whitaker. He was employed by Blanchester Street Department. Mr. Whitaker was an Army veteran of World War II. His wife, Adeline, to whom he married on August 15, 1941, survives. Also surviving are two sons, Rodney Whitaker and Lawrence Whitaker, both of Blanchester; two brothers, Howard Whitaker of Milford and Roy Whitaker of Edenton; two sisters, Eleanor Landess of Hillsboro and Marion Bruner of Manchester, Kentucky; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Hannah Funeral Home with Rev. Rick McClure officiating. Burial will be in Edenton Cemetery.
