Mrs. Flossie Empey, 62, widow of Adrian Empey, Ucon, died Thursday evening at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Elvin Palmer in Milo after an extended illness.
She was born June 1, 1890, at Samaria, Ida., the daughter of Rebecca and Messach Williams. The family moved to Malad in 1895, and then moved to Ammon in the same year. She was married June 26, 1907, to Adrian Empey at Ammon. They lived there for a few years, and then moved to Ucon, where she has lived for the past 21 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, May 29, 1951.
She is survived by the following daughters: Mrs. Palmer, Milo; Mrs. Mabel Wilding, Pocatello; Mrs. Fonda Parkin, Pocatello; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Brothers and sisters surviving are Mrs. Ethel Walton, Rigby; Mrs. Olive Carpenter, Lorenzo; and Elvin Williams, Idaho Falls.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Ucon LDS Ward Chapel, with Bishop Karl Davenport officiating. Friends may call at the home of Elvin Palmer, Milo, from 10 a.m. Monday until time of services. Interment will be in the Ammon Cemetery under the direction of the Wood Funeral Home Saturday and Sunday.
