Phillip and Catherine's son was Julius Brown, who was born about 1797 in Tennessee. He married Elizabeth Markwith, daughter of John C. and Elizabeth Markwith, on December 24, 1822, in Darke County, Ohio, and together they had eight children: Richard M., Phillip, Jacob, James M., John, William, Hezekiah V., and Elizabeth. He lived in Darke County, Ohio, his entire life-although he did move from Neave Twp. to Van Buren Twp. at some point between 1850 and 1860 to Wayne Twp. at some point between 1860 and 1870-and on the 1850, 1860, and 1870 censuses he is listed as a "farmer." Julius died on February 17, 1872, in Versailles, Darke Co., Ohio, and is buried in Hoover (Old Baptist) Cemetery, Wayne Twp., Darke Co., Ohio. Elizabeth probably outlived him, but her date of death and place of burial are unknown. There is, however, a will for an Eliza J. Brown on page 78, Darke County, Ohio Will Book C, 1869-1878.

Also father of Jacob Brown, John Brown, and Elizabeth Brown
