Florence Winn Ella Julia Florence Schulz was born on Florence Ranch (Meadowview Farms) in North Mesquite in 1909. She lived on the ranch most of her life and passed away on the family ranch in 2000. She was married to Frank "Buddy" Schulz, Jr. for 54 years. They were members of First Presbyterian Church of Mesquite. She and Buddy traveled in their Holiday Rambler where they met many a friend. They were charter members of Eastern Hills Country Club in Garland. Florence taught school at Tisinger Elementary in Mesquite and was her daughter's Girl Scout leader for 10 years. She was a member of United Daughters of the American Revolution through her maternal patriot, Seth Curtis. She also was a long time member of Mesquite Woman's Club and Dallas County Pioneer Association.
