Their children include: John Abijah (1860 – 1942); Martha Elizabeth (1866 – 1936); Mary Alice (1868 – 1947); James Jehu (1871 – 1945); General Gaines (1873 – 1941); and Cazwell Green (1877 – 1916). Please note that General Gaines' first name "General" really is his first ("Christian") name and not a military title.

According to the 1880 US Federal Census, the family have relocated to Precinct 1, Grayson County, Texas, USA.

However, by 1900 Nancy, Absalom and their son Cazwell have relocated back to Barry County, Missouri.
