Julia Louise Fox was the youngest child of Charles Aubrey and Ella Beatrice (Daily) Fox. She was the great granddaughter of Josiah Fox, one of the designers of the ships of the first U. S. Navy, including the U.S.S. Constitution, also known as "Old Iron Sides." Her g-g-grandfather, Peter Miller, was a minute man in the Revolutionary War.

She shares a tombstone with her grandson, Martin Shade. Her only daughter Lucille Shade is buried next to her.

The small tombstone flush to the ground pictured at right was removed after Martin's death so that the larger stone could be placed.
