A Memorial service for Enos Dettwiler, 58, RR 1, West Montrose, who died last Tuesday, was conducted at Elmira, Mennonite Church at 2.30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31.
Rev. Howard Bauman officiated. The body rested at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor until 1 p.m. Thursday, Burial was in the cemetery adjoining the church.
Mr. Dettwiler was born in Michigan, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Dettwiler. He came to farm in West Montrose in 1912. He was a member of Elmira Mennonite
Church.
Surviving are his wife, the former Lucinda Bowman: two sons, Mahlon and Carl, both of West Montrose; one daughter Patricia or (sic) Toronto; and three sisters, Mrs. Annie Remer (sic) of Markham, Mrs. Eden Cressman of St. Jacobs and Miss Sevilla Dettwiler of Zurich. One brother Reuben predeceased him in 1951 and three brothers predeceased him in infancy.
