Aunt Media as she was lovingly called, is one of the loveliest picture that hangs on memories wall. As the clock of time swings back a few years, we see her and her husband, the late H. A. MITCHAM, and their children, prosperous, happy, and at the head of every worthwhile enterprise, in the little town of Malakoff and of the county as well, loving folks was her hobby.

Her home was the home of the preachers, the rich, the poor, and the orphans, she could always sooth the sad and sorrowing, she lived a joyous life, she knew how to go out into the highways and hedges, and guide people into a better way of living.

Her home bespoke of piety, peace, and plenty, to all who come and went her way. She was a beautiful woman, and lived a beautiful life, radiating God and his wisdom with each breath she breathed.

Although having lost her eye sight many years ago her memory and outlook on life remained as keen as in her younger days, those who visited her in these last years, just as those who visited her in former years, always felt happier by having been in her presence.

We, her old time neighbors, and relatives see her still, she is not dead, she lives on with her sweet smiles and kindly deeds, the stroke of her gentle hands seem yet upon our brow. We know she lives, and all is well, and we thank God for her beautiful life. – A friend.
