Loretta "Honey" (Dugan) Smith, 87, formerly of Natrona Heights, Harrison, died Monday, March 17, 2008, at Laurel Lakes Retirement Home in Hudson, Ohio, with her children at her side.
Born March 8, 1921, in Pittsburgh to James V. and Loretta Louise Michel Dugan, she lived in the Valley most of her life until moving to Laurel Lakes in December 2005.
She was the wife of the late Clyde E. Smith Sr. for 61 years. They had four children: Clyde E. (Martha) Smith Jr., of Houston, Texas, Ruthann (Don) Heitzler, of Green Valley, Ariz., Shawn M. (Kim) Smith, of Virginia Beach, Va., and Maggie (Jeff) Mann, of Hudson. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, George Dugan, of Pittsburgh.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister Alberta Bich, and brother James Dugan. At Mrs. Smith's request, there will be no public visitation.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Alyce Weaver Dunn officiating.
Private burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
Arrangements are under the care of ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME, Natrona Heights.
