Fred Bartram, son of James Bartram and Marie Kenney, married Rosa V Puckett in Montague County, Texas on 22 December 1885. Lacking birth records, the consensus is that Fred was born in Indiana and later moved to Illinois (1870 census) and then back to Indiana, before his travels brought him to Texas and Oklahoma where the Great Land Rush was going on. After marrying Rosa, he fathered three children, Iva Pearl, Ellis Kenny and Lillian Myrtle, all of whom reached adulthood and raised their own families. It is not known what fate belonged to Fred's early departure at the age of 28, his immediate family chose not to discuss his passing. Rosa went on to marry again and moved to California between 1936 and 1939 with their youngest daughter and her husband Luther, daughters Beatrice and Bobbie, and son Bartram.
