Ruby Farley Sene, 77, died Sunday, Oct. 1, at Riverside Regional Convalescent Center of Newport News. Mrs. Sene was a native of Tazewell. She was a retired clerk for Ben Franklin Department Store, she attended Smithfield Baptist Church, was a member of T.E.L. Ladies Bible Class and the Woman's Missionary Society. She was the widow of Joseph A. Sene. Survivors include four daughters. Elizabeth Jones of Orlando, Florida, Margaret Beavers of Independence, Missouri, Carol Jones of Zuni, and Sharon Jones of Smithfield; two sons, Paul E. Sene of Norton. Ohio and D. Randy Sene of Smithfield; one sister, Ruth Puckett of Milboro; one brother, Ralph Farley of North Tazewell; 12 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 2 p.m. with Dr. Donald R. Rhoton officiating at Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will be In St Luke's Memorial Park of Smithfield. Memorial donations can be made to the Isle of Wight Rescue Squad. P. O. Box 97, Smithfield, Virginia 23430. Pallbearers will be Randy Sene Jr., Michael Jones, Edward Jones, Dennis Baker, Bill Blevins and Wallace Lowery. Colonial Funeral Home of Smithfield will handle the arrangements.
