June 21, 2008, at University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. He was born September 9, 1929, in Chemung to Ezra and Ida (Labo) Burton. He married Doris Louise Shulz on December 23, 1951, in Harvard, Illinois. He was the owner of Burton Farm Supply in Harvard. He served 34 years with the Harvard Fire Department as a volunteer firefighter, trustee and treasurer. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Harvard Moose Lodge. He also was an avid golfer, fisherman and camper. He was preceded in death by his wife Doris on May 21, 2007, his parents, and infant son, Darrell Eugene Burton, and two brothers, Charles and Walter Burton.
