Harold Richard Jacobs, 76, a native of Bloomington, Ind., died Friday, Aug. 27. Mr. Jacobs retired in 1981 after 20 years with Smithfield Packing Co. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Smithfield Masonic Lodge 18. He was a World War II Army veteran. Survived by three daughters, Lynn J. French of Napa, Calif., Luann J. Sherp of Arlington and Lisa J. Adams of Jacksonville, Fla; a brother, Marion L. Jacobs of Bloomington; and six grandchildren. Visitation from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral 1 p.m. Friday by the Rev. Robert F. Cofield Jr. Burial in St. Luke's Memorial Park. Memorial to Smithfield Library Association, P.O.
