CARROLLTON – Margaret Boyd Harrison, 61, died Saturday, Sept. 14. Mrs. Harrison was a native of Plymouth, N.C., and a beautician and owner of Margaret's Beauty Salon in Smithfield. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and member of the Virginia State Hairdressers Association, the Virginia Women's Republican Association, and the Ladies Auxiliary Post 25 of American Legion, Newport News. Survived by her husband, Tyrus Gregory Harrison of Carrollton; a daughter, Janice Lynne Boyd of Virginia Beach; a son, Whimpy A. Boyd of Smithfield; a stepson, Ty Daren Harrison of Hampton; and four grandchildren. Friends received from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight at Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield. Funeral services at 11 a.m. Monday at Christ Episcopal Church by the Rector Frederick W. Lantz. Burial in St. Luke's Memorial Park, Smithfield. Memorials to the Christ Episcopal Church, 32 Main St., Smithfield 23430.
