Obituary
Justin Daymon
Born Hazzel Castle, Germany, January 25, 1832
Died May 14, 1909, aged 77
Age one came to Hancock, Ohio with his parents
In 1843 he came to Michigan
In 1858 he was united in marriage with Catherine Tracy
To them were born ten children, six of whom are left to mourn the loss of a kind and loving father
Brother Daymon served in the Civil War, from which time he has never been well
He joined the United Brethren church when he was a young man
He leaves a wife
These two have seen Gratiot county change from a swampy wilderness to the beautiful and desirable locality that it is, dotted with its cities and villages, which team with business. They helped to clear the land and make the roads and cover the country (sic. county) with its elegant and commodius farm residences.
