Sharpe, Marion A., 81, of Newton where she has been a life long resident, died Monday, March 17th, 2008 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham.

Born September 12, 1926 in Wellesley, she was the daughter of the late James and Alberta (Lynch) Sharpe Sr. Marion was educated at the Emerson Elementary School, Newton Upper Falls secondary, and Newton North High School with the class of 1944.

A Confidential File Clerk for RCA of Burlington for over 20 years, she retired in 1986 after more than 20 years of service. Marion was an avid reader, loved crosswords, animals, travel and especially Hampton Beach, NH with her nephews and nieces every summer.

Marion leaves her family, nieces Paula Bourgeois, Donna Barry, Janet Bourgeois, Linda El-Akorey, Joann Geilfuss and Carolyn Roycroft of Medfield, many great nephews and nieces, and her dear life long friend Barbara Kane of Natick. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a sister Violet Delicata and a brother James Sharpe Jr.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 19th, 2008 at 11:00AM at the Newton Cemetery Chapel, 791 Walnut Street, Needham with burial following at Newton Cemetery.
