Jessie Rosetta , Arnold, Leazier ,was my Great Grandmother. She was born in the Oceana, county of Michigan. she was born on October 23, 1896. She died on November 24,1977 Thanksgiving Day. She married her Sweetheart Purl Jacob Leazier. They had 8 children. 1 child was born but died at birth it was a little girl. No one remembers her name. My Great Grand parents lived in the Petoski Michigan area there whole lives. I didn't get to know them very well but. I have 3 memories of them. The first was when we visited them in there home I Remember it as A log Cabin. My second memory is there big Anniversary party. I can't remember for certain what year of marriage they were on. I know they were married over 70 years. I'm thinking it was there 74 th or 76th Anniversary. My mom brought a huge lemon filled cake. It was Awesome. The 3rd memory was at great Grandfathers Funeral. My Great Grandmother was So dignified. She greeted all her Grand children And Great grandchildren with a lot of love And warmth. This was one of the worst days of her life yet she never stopped smiling at her family. Years later I realized she was strong for her family and friends. I am very sure that her heart was broken beyond repair. My Great grandmother showed me why the Women of our Family are strong. My. Great grandparents had 8 children. One Died at Birth a little girl not sure of her name.
