Mr. Crawley was widely known throughout this community as he had done contracting work for scores of people of the community throughout his lifetime. He also laid many of the city's sidewalks during the years they were constructed and in addition did contract work on many homes in Greencastle.
Survivors are the widow, two daughters, Mrs. Sherman Earley, Martinsville street and Mrs. Eddie Elon of Indianapolis, five sons, Wilbur, Glen, Morris, Eugene, all of Greencastle and Chester at home and one sister, Mrs. Martha Harrell, of Kansas City, Mo.
Friends may call at the Rector Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

John T. Crawley Service Friday,, Well-Known Concrete Contractor Passed Away Tuesday
Funeral services for John T. (Nibs) Crawley, well known concrete contractor, who passed away at Putnam county hospital Tuesday noon will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Rector Funeral Home, in charge of the Rev. Cecil Fellers. Putnam Lodge No. 45 IOOF will give their ritualistic service. Burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the Rector Funeral Home.
