Another one of our old residents was called to her reward above, when Mrs. Michael Bollenbach passed away Saturday evening, May 19, aged 78 years and 13 days. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at the St. Paul's church, Rev. Bierbaum officiating. It was largely attended and the sons and daughters from a distance were all present.

Mrs. Bollenbach was born in Germany May 4, 1839. She came to America with her parents when she was six years of age. They settled in Long Grove. March 9, 1858, she was united in marriage to Michael Bollenbach. To this union 8 children were born, six of whom are living. In 1896 they moved to Palatine and six years ago, Mr. Bollenbach died. Those left to mourn their loss are six children, Mrs. Salome Remus, Mrs. Caroline Schrader, Mrs. Julia Kuhlman of Palatine, Charles and John of Nerstrand, Minn. and Albert of Owatonna, Minn., also 14 grandchildren, other relatives and hosts of friends.
