Robert L Connor was born on Wednesday, April 18, 1928 in Bristow, Oklahoma to Elvis Verdo and Charlotte Temple Craft Connor. He was the last child of four sisters and one brother.
He went home to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 in Tulsa at the age of 80 years. Robert was a proud graduate of Bristow High School in 1946. Robert met Ella Sue Figart at a Bristow/Webster wrestling match. Their first date was to the Crystal City Amusement Park. They married on December 5, 1949 in Russellville, Arkansas.

The Connor family was blessed with six children: Robert Leroy Jr. "Bobby", Marilyn Kay, Thomas Leon, Timothy Ray, Nancy Ann, and Richard Neal
Bob retired from McDonnell Douglas Corp in 1993. He enjoyed photo editing on his computer, printing pictures, putting them in frames and giving them to his family and friends. He also loved working crosswords and watching TV. Bob loved to watch his grandchildren and great grandchildren play sports.
When asked to describe Bob, the family told me he was sincere and caring, rarely meeting a stranger. He always treated the friends of his children like part of the family. If his children needed anything and he could provide it, he did. The same went for the children's friends as well as other family members. He was always very helpful and caring to everyone.
Bob had a great sense of humor and enjoyed entertaining the "little ones" with his Donald duck talk. He enjoyed entertaining his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren by playing the harmonica. He also made sure to give his grandchildren and most of his great grandchildren a harmonica of their own.
