Ella Sue met Robert Leroy Connor at a Bristow/Webster Wrestling match. Their first date was to the Crystal City Amusement Park.
They married on December 5, 1949 in Russellville, Arkansas.
The Connor family was blessed with six children: Robert Leroy Jr. "Bobby", Marilyn Kay, Thomas Leon, Timothy Ray, Nancy Ann and Richard Neal
Ella was a member of the Southwest Tulsa Historical Society.
She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, watching baseball and Soccer on television and reading. Ella also loved to watch her children and grandchildren play sports. When asked to describe Ella Sue the family told me she was sincere and caring.
I remember that she always treated the friends of her children like part of the family. Debi, her daughter-in-law, mentioned that she was fortunate to have two moms.

Grandchildren: Chuck Connor of Lewisville, Texas, Larry Hamilton II and his wife Rachel of Tulsa, Natalie Simonton of Denton, Texas, Russell Hamilton of Tulsa, Trey Connor of Lewisville, Texas, Melanie Mercado and her husband Jake of Enid, Greg Connor and his wife Kourtni of Claremore, Talmage Connor of Midwest City.
Twelve great grandchildren: Jay Simonton, Jake Mercado, Connor Mercado, Connor Simonton, Abigail Mercado, Nathan Simonton, Larry Hamilton III, Elizabeth Hamilton, Jonathan Connor, Brady Connor, Jackson Connor, Decklan Connor.
Her sisters: Charlotte Bolch and her husband Leonard of Pryor, Martha Goins of Jenks. She is also survived by a number of family member and friends which is evidenced by your presence here today.
