Last rites for Mrs. Elizabeth Jackson Balch, 61, who died at a Decatur hospital early Thursday morning, were held from her late residence, Athens Rt. 3, at 2 p.m. Friday. Revs. G.C. Morris and Eugene Steelman officiated and interment was made in the Athens City Cemetery. Nephews of Mrs. Balch served as pallbearers.
Surviving Mrs. Balch are her husband, Russell Balch; two daughters, Mrs. Kathleen Hacker, Athens Rt. 3, and Mrs. Virginia Stidham, Decatur; two brothers, Ollie and Atlee Baugher, Athens Rt. 3, and a granddaughter, Camilia Kay Hacker, Athens Rt. 3.
Daughter of Sarah Jane (Sally) Sterling Baugher and William Jackson (Buck) Baugher.
