VALPARAISO. -- Funeral services were held this afternoon for Mrs. Jennie Bartholomew, aged 76, widow of Girdon S. Bartholomew. The rites were held in the Bartholomew funeral chapel with Rev. C. W. Wharton, of the Presbyterian church, officiating. Burial was in Maplewood cemetery. Mrs. Bartholomew, who died Wednesday morning, was born in this city, on May 9, 1864, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Salisbury. Surviving are a son, H. W. Bartholomew, chairman of the Porter county selective service board; a daughter, Mrs. Omar Covert, of Chicago; and a sister, Mrs. Etta Humiston, Tujunga, Calif.
