Services for William E. "Snookie" Abbe, 72, of Trinidad, were held Jan. 21 at the Mankin Assembly of God Church in Trinidad. Burial was in the Trinidad Cemetery under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Malakoff.

Mr. Abbe passed away Jan. 18 in Malakoff. He was born May 20, 1933 in Kerens to Farris and Bertie Abbe. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1961 and prior to retirement he had worked for Henderson County Pct. 1 as a heavy equipment operator. He was preceded in death by a brother; a daughter Brenda Kay Abbe and a grandson, William Clint Abbe. He is survived by his wife, Esther Ruth Abbe of Trinidad; son, Billy Abbe and his wife Sharon of Royse City; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Lucas Abbe, Willie Jock, Rodney Prnka, Justin Prnka, Ricky Pogue and Marvin Sander.
