Charles E. Pfeifer, 70, of Decatur, IL passed away at 10:50 P.M. on Sunday, August 26, 2007 in his residence.
Charles was born in Decatur, IL on July 28, 1937, the son of William Charles and Marjorie Beaman Pfeifer. He married Jane M. Woolridge in July 1961. She preceded him in death on November 25, 1990. He was a heavy equipment operator in Operating Engineers Local 965. Charles was a veteran of the United States Army. Surviving are; children, Randy Pfeifer and his wife Jane of Slidell, LA, William L. Pfeifer and his wife Linda of Denver, CO, Charles Craig Pfeifer and his wife Tanya of Atkins, AR, Dianna Taylor and her husband Michael of Chatham, IL, Rebecca Van Zante and her husband Bradley of Sully, IA, Brian Pfeifer and his wife Julie of Springfield, IL; special friend Geri Stewart of Decatur, IL; thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister Janice Pfeifer, daughter-in-law Angelia Pfeifer, and one great-granddaughter, Bethany Baker.
