Richard was the son of Joseph Cooper Pixton and Emma Esther Ashby. He married Winifred Maxine Gibbs on 14 Aug 1923 in Rupert, Minidoka, Idaho. He was the father of Richard Gibbs Pixton, Clifford Ashby Pixton and Robert Boyd Pixton.
