Rites Thursday For Mrs. Ben Tate

Funeral services, in charge of Rev. Babb, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Walker Funeral Home at Montpelier, where friends may call, for the widow of Ben Tate, Mrs. Katie Tate, 85, of Keystone Route 1, who died at 11:10 p.m. Monday at Hartford City Hospital. Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery in Jackson Twp.

A hospital patient since Sunday, she had resided for sometime at Community Care Center at Hartford City.

Born in Wells County, Mrs. Tate was a daughter of Henry and Jane Beedy Speece. Her marriage to Mr. Tate took place in Hartford City March 25, 1949.

Survivors include a son, Carl Banter of Geneva; two daughters, Mrs. Jennie Carl of Gas City and Mrs. Oren Deeter of Keystone; a sister, Mrs. Mary Richardson of Muncie; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
