Delta was the youngest of eight children born to Wheeler and Carrie (Pixley) Syers of Holton and Blue Lake townships. Sometime before 1920 she married Charles Lovelace Jibson. They were the parents of at least three children. In her later years, after her second husband Stanley Walter Betka's death, she lived with one of her grown children in Greenville, Michigan.
