Miss Martha Dunlap
Funeral rites will be conducted this (Wednesday) afternoon in Blairsville, followed by burial in the Old Salem Church Cemetery, for Miss Martha Agnes Dunlap, a life-long and esteemed resident of Derry Township, who died on Monday at her home near Blairsville in her 96th year, following an illness of only two days.
Miss Dunlap who was one of the oldest residents of the Blairsville community, was stricken ill on Christmas Day. Up until this time she had enjoyed her usual good health and all her faculties to a most remarkable degree, considering her advanced years.
A daughter of Daniel Dunlap, the deceased was born October 16, 1842, in the vicinity where she had lived all her life and was the last surviving member of one of the community's pioneer families. She held membership with the Old Salem Church, where she worshiped until the congregation was disbanded. The nearest relatives surviving are a number of nephews and nieces.
