Mrs. Campbell was born August 26, 1912, in Thorndale, Texas, and she died Saturday, April 10, 1999, at her home. Mrs. Campbell was a long time Lufkin resident and wife of George Campbell who preceded her in death. She was a lifelong member of the Christian Church and was a former Eastern Star Matron. She was retired from Entex as an Accountant.
She had resided in Lufkin for 35 years. Survivors include her brothers and sisters in law, J. Barton and Lois Wilder of Houston and Fred D. and Johnnie Wilder of Sugar Land; sisters, Clarice Poe of Austin, Pauline Alexander of Houston, Lois Hazel of Oceanside, CA, sisters and brothers in law, Frances and Marty Dumelle of Oceanside, CA and Janice and Larry Smith of Alpine, TX, husbands niece, Sally Black of Lufkin; many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Gipson-Hunter-Metcalf Funeral Home."
