Lorene McCane, 78, of 1179 S. Beechwood Dr., Rushville, died Saturday, March 28, 1998, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, Fla., after a three-car accident.

Born May 3, 1919, in Olive Hill, Ky., She was the daughter of Edward and Martha (Stone) Cooper. She married Willard D. McCane on December 23, 1939, and he preceded her in death on April 12, 1988. She lived most of her life in Rushville, and spent her early life in Olive Hill, Ky. She was a very active member of the Rushville Nazarene Church, and worked many years at the Tractor Cab Factory in Arlington. She also worked at Pioneer in Rushville.

Surviving are daughter: Darlene (Mrs. Albert) Morris of Rushville; two sons: Dean McCane of Tampa, Fla., and Darrell McCane of Rushville; two brothers: Clay and Jim Cooper, both of Olive Hill, Ky.; a sister: Ola Stamper of Olive Hill, Ky.; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Moster & Cox Mortuary in Rushville with the Revs. Michael Dees and Robert Malone officiating. Burial will be in the Rushville East Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Rushville Nazarene Church.

Lorene McCane, 78, of Rushville, Indiana, died Saturday, March 28, 1998, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, in Lakeland, Florida, as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born May 3, 1919, at Olive Hill, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Martha (Stone) Cooper. She was an active member of the Rushville Nazarene Church and worked many years at the Tractor Cab Factory in Arlington, Indiana and also at Pioneer in Rushville.

Surviving are one daughter, Darlene Morris of Rushville; two sons, Dean McCane of Tampa, Florida and Darrell McCane of Rushville; one sister, Ola Stamper of Olive Hill; two brothers, Clay Cooper and Jim Cooper, both of Olive Hill; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard D. McCane, in 1988; two sisters; and three brothers.

Services will be conducted Thursday, April 2, 1998, at 10:00 a.m., at Moster and Cox Mortuary in Rushville. Rev. Michael Dees and Rev. Robert Malone will be officiating and burial will be in East Hill Cemetery at Rushville.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 1, 1998, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Moster and Cox Mortuary, 334 N. Main Street, Rushville.
