A. L. Wren, 86, died July 22, 1971 at his home in the Oak Hill Community after an extended illness. A native of Itawamba County, he was a retired farmer and a member of the Methodist Church. He married Miss Gaither Pearce in 1914. Funeral services were held July 23 in Keys Church with burial in the church cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors in charge.

Survivors included his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Rush of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Jewel Lanphere of Tupelo and Mrs. Margaret Baker of Saltillo; two sons, Elmo of Aberdeen and Andy of Saltillo; 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
