Lawrence Charles Hartley, 95, passed away quietly on 10 June 2008.




Born 25 December 1912 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Charles Henry and Victoria Ayers Hartley. With his first wife, Lylas Henrie, he raised John Randall and Dan Hartley. On 25 Nov. 1959, he was married to Ina Mae Vance in the Salt Lake City Temple. They adopted a son, and had two daughters. Lawrence was self employed as a carpenter, contractor and electrician. He was very active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having served as an HP Group Leader, Bishop, Ward Missionary and Seattle Temple worker. He loved the gospel, performed much service throughout his life. He had a passion for fishing, but in later years put his energy into blackberry picking.





He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters; two brothers; his wife, Ina Mae; son, Peter; granddaughter, Lynn and great-grandson, John. He is survived by two sons (John Randall and Dan Hartley, WY) two daughters (Denise Barrett, UT and Mary Murray, WA); and their families. He will be greatly missed.





Burial: June 16, 2008 at Hillcrest Burial Park in Kent, WA.
