Toppenish Review Feb 13, 1958 pg 1: Final Rites Held for Effie R. Parker: Mrs. Effie R. Parker of 416 S. Alder St, died Feb 1, at Central Memorial Hospital. she was 77. Born in Albany, Oregon, on April 18, 1880, Mrs. Parker remained in the Oregon Comunity until May 1924 when Mr. and Mrs. Parker moved to Toppenish. Mr. Parker is engaged in commercial farm work. Funeral services were held in memory of Mrs. Parker on Wednesday afternoon of last week in Hopkins Mortuary chapel. The Rev. Norman Lawson officiated. Burial followed in Elmwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Earl Evans, Roy Loshbaugh, Kenneth Williams, Vern Marshall, Kimber Hawkins and Harry Bloomberg. Mrs. Parker is survied by her husband W.S. Parker; two sons, Hugh and Winston (Buck) Parker; one daughter Hazel Parker; and three grandsons all of Toppenish.
