Margaret Allen, 71, Ekron, died Sat. June 13, 1998 at Suburban Hospital. She was born in Racine Co. Wis. Oct. 23, 1926, the daughter of the late Carl Cleveland Clark and Nellie Scott Clark.
Allen worked as a waitress at Doe Run Inn for many years.
She is survived by 5 children: Mary Lee Worley, Louisville, Janis Marie Purvis, Las Cruces, N.M., Lisa Jupin, Vine Grove, Lorrie Lucille Powell, Irvington, Jimmy Tucker, Ekron; 3 sisters, Bertha Mae Jones, Livermore, Catherine Blair and Juanity Mattingly, both of Cloverport and one brother, Freddie Clark, Cloverport; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tue. June 16 from New Brandenburg Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Melton, Rev. Danny Haynes and Dr. Billy D. Marcum officiating. Interment was in the Parr-Frans Cemetery, directed by Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Allen's grandsons, Michael Jupin, Brian Atchison, David Worley, John Skees, James Bates and Timm Bates.
