Obituary of Late
Birdge L. Babcock

Birdge L. Babcock, village resident for nearly 64 years, died at the home of his daughters, Misses Minnie and Anna Babcock, early Sunday morning, April 29th. He had attained the age of 91 years, 4 months and 11 days.
Mr. Babcock was born December 18th, 1864 at Oronoco, Minn. He married Sarah Fogelson of Kenyon, Minn., March 1, 1887.
His wife and three sons, Denver, George and Marland preceded him in death.
Survivors are one son, Birdge B., of West Concord, and six daughters, Minnie of West Concord, Mrs. Julius Peterson [Lillian] of Kenyon, Mrs. Claude Uptagrafft [Etta] of Berne, Mrs. Martin Nelson [Ruth] of Rochester, Anna of West Concord, and Mrs. Joseph Kartel [Edna] of Mason City, Ia., 24 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday May 2nd at 2 p.m. at the home with burial in the Concord cemetery with the Rev. Harry Evans officiating and Mr. Harry Cowles furnishing the music.
Arrangements were by the Ferguson Funeral Home.
The pallbearers were six grandsons Birdge Babcock Jr., Donald Nelson, Jack Kartel, Stanley, Elton and Harold Peterson.
