Ernest Elmo Allen, age 88, of Payneville, died Thursday, Feb 17 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
He was born in Meade Co. on Mar. 21, 1905, son of the late Clarence Allen and Mary Holloway Allen.
Mr Allen was a retired railroad employee.
He was preceded in death by his wife Myrtle Allen on Feb 8, 1981.
He is survived by a sister, Juanita Clardy of Brandenburg and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb 20 from the Chapel of Jenkins Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Lawrence officiating.
Burial was in the Parr Cemetery under the direction of Jenkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were: Steve Allen, Michael Allen, Sonny Ballman, Mark Clardy, Joe Allen and Todd Crawford.
