He was born in Meade Co. KY., June 1, 1877, the son of the late William Allen Chism and Mary Ellen Thompson Chism.
Mr. Chism was a retired farmer.
He is survived by 4 children, Mrs. Virgie Troutman, Mrs. Ida Bullock, and Mr. Raymond Chism all of Wolf Creek, Mrs Beulah Daugherty, Battletown. 2 sisters, Mrs Lillie Greer, Corydon Ind. and Mrs Julia Greer, Battletown. 8 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thurs. July 5th, 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home with Rev. John Douglas and Rev. Tom Stokes officiating. Interment was in Parr Cemetery directed by Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Tony Troutman, Danny Troutman, Charles Allen Cunningham, Robert Wayne Cunningham, Jimmy Oelze, and Mike Singleton. (Meade Co. Messenger)
