Warren "Doc" Sheehan, 78 years old of Lake Villa, Illinois passed away Wednesday, March 26, 1997 at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital, Atlantis, Florida after a brief illness. He was born December 31, 1918 in Lake Villa, on the farm of his parents, the late Daniel and Blanche (Tidmarsh) Sheehan, and has been a life long resident of Lake Villa.

Mr. Sheehan was a charter member of Prince of Peach Church of Lake Villa and a member of the Lake County Farm Bureau. He served in the U.S. Navy Seabees during World War II in the Pacific Theater and was a charter member of the V.F.W. Post #4308 in Lake Villa. He operated the Sheehan Excavating Co. in Lake Villa for many years and was a former Lake Villa Township highway Commissioner. On June 8, 1946 he married Ramona Lubejko in Chicago, Illinois.

Survivors include his wife Ramona; 4 daughters, Janet Eppers of Beach Park, Illinois, Karen (Jerry) Powers of Scottsdale, Arizona, Linda Stried of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois and Marcia O'Day of Lake Villa; 2 brothers, Elmer (Valeria) of Lake Villa and Charles (Betty) of Lake Worth, Florida; 1 sister, Hazel Justice of Elburn, Illinois. He was the grandfather of 7 and the great grandfather of 1.

He was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Joseph, Robert, Howard and Frank and 2 sisters, Arlene Slazes and Estelle Stahmer.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, March 29, 1997 at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME, 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83) Antioch, IL. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Antioch.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 until 8 PM Friday.
