Bro. Schrock had been afflicted with this ailment for more than eight years and the last year of his life especially was one of untold suffering during which time he murmured not, but manifested remarkable Christian fortitude. He submitted reluctantly to a surgical operation only as a last resort but the disease had advanced to its final stages and no human help could avail. His last and only desire was to depart and be with the Lord.
His wife and four children survive him, all of which were present at his death and burial. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held at the Mennonite Meeting House near Trousdale. Sermon by Bro. D. D. Zook from II Cor. 5-1. A large concourse of relatives and friends followed the remains to the last earthly resting place.
