Daughter of E.D. and Ruby (Stroud) Oglesby. She grew up in Waxahachie and was a member of the Oglesby Trio. She married William Alford on July 31, 1953 in Ellis County. She worked at Walmart for 19 years, and was a member of South Park Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by three children, a brother, and two sisters.
